Questions about this one
Does it smell like beef?
Not really. I render the tallow several times to keep its natural smell mild, and the scent sits over the top. You might notice a faint buttery note underneath.
Is there real rose in it?
No. The rosy scent comes from rose geranium essential oil, softened with lavender and frankincense. It smells fresh and rosy rather than like a perfume.
Is it greasy?
Not once it's rubbed in. It can feel a little glossy for the first few minutes, then settles and leaves skin soft. If it feels oily, use less: a pea-sized amount is plenty.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes. It's made for face and body. Tallow can be too rich for oily or breakout-prone faces, so patch test first and start with a tiny amount.
How is it different from the solid Restore balm?
The texture. This whipped balm is soft and fluffy. Restore is firmer, made with beeswax, sweet almond oil and arrowroot. Both use rose geranium, lavender and frankincense; Restore adds vanilla.
