Solid Tallow Balm — Restore // Rose & Vanilla
60ml — face & hand moisturiser
This is the balm for when you want to slow down at the end of the day. Soft rose geranium and lavender over a warm base of frankincense and vanilla — a scent that settles you as much as it settles into your skin. Like all our solid balms it melts the moment it touches warm skin. I render the tallow by hand in small batches here in Marlborough, and because tallow is so close to our own skin's oils, it sinks in and stays put — no slippery film left behind.
NZ Grass-Fed Beef Tallow
The heart of everything I make. It's rich and nourishing, rendered by hand and never rushed.
Calendula Infused Olive Oil
Calendula petals steeped slowly in olive oil until it turns gold. Gentle and comforting — one of the kindest things I know to put on skin.
Sweet Almond Oil & Castor Oil
Almond oil for softness, castor oil for that lovely cushioned glide. Together they give the balm its slip without any heaviness.
Beeswax & Arrowroot
Beeswax holds the balm solid and helps skin hold onto moisture. Arrowroot is my secret for the finish — it takes away the shine and leaves skin feeling silky rather than slick.
Rose Geranium, Lavender & Frankincense
A soft floral blend — rose geranium and lavender up top, warm frankincense and a whisper of vanilla underneath. This is the calm, grounding one: made for slowing down, for evenings, for a quiet moment to yourself.
Vitamin E & Rosemary Oleoresin
Natural antioxidants that keep the oils fresh in the jar. No synthetic preservatives, and none needed.
Perfect for:
- Dry hands that get washed twenty times a day
- Face, hands, elbows, heels — anywhere that needs it
- Winding down at the end of the day, or after a bath
- Anyone who loves a soft, calming floral
- Anyone who wants a short ingredient list they can actually read
- Keeping in a handbag, on a desk, by the bed

Does it smell like beef fat?
Not at all! We render our tallow until it's perfectly pure and odorless, then add natural essential oils so it smells incredible. You get all the skin benefits without any animal scent - just beautiful, natural fragrance.
Will it clog my pores or cause breakouts?
Will it clog my pores or cause breakouts?
No, Tallow is non-comedogenic and matches your skin's natural oils. Many customers with acne-prone skin see improvement because it balances rather than blocks pores.
Is it greasy?
Is it greasy?
No. We whip our tallow into a light, fluffy texture that absorbs quickly because your skin recognizes the fatty acids. No sticky residue or greasy feeling - just soft, nourished skin.
How much solid tallow balm should I use?
How much solid tallow balm should I use?
A little goes a very long way! Start with a small, pea-sized amount for your face or hands, adjusting for larger areas. Warm the balm between your fingertips and gently press or massage it onto clean, damp skin. Our balm is highly concentrated, so always start small—your skin should feel moisturized and soft, not greasy.
