I have dry scalp and have tried loads of different shampoo over the years that just make it worse, but with tallow shampoo after the second use my scalp calms down 90%, and by adding tallow conditioner my scalp calms down 99%. I couldn't recommend highly enough.

I'm so pleased to have discovered this hair clay. I apply the hair clay after blow drying. It feels soft and light on my hair and a little goes a long way. My fine hair feels thicker, has more volume than before and is so much more manageable. Now that I have started washing my hair with the Lavender Tallow shampoo, followed by a diluted apple cider vinegar rinse, results are amazing -- next level -- my hair has actually 'wowed' me! Everything Kendal says about this product is true. I'm a fan! Thank you!

My husband and I love the 100% Tallow soap! Our original supplier stopped making soap and this has been the best replacement so far. We tried three other brands but none were 100% tallow or as good. So would definitely recommend the 100% tallow soap especially if you have sensitive skin, its so nourishing 💚🐮
Product works well but I should have thought about it more before buying. Next time round I'll opt for the scented versions as this one leaves my bathroom smelling like beef funnily enough 🫠

A few years ago I couldn't find skincare for my kids that I trusted. Everything was full of ingredients I couldn't pronounce. So I went back to basics: grass-fed tallow from our local butcher, rendered by hand, and a few good plant oils.
Friends asked for a jar. Then their friends did. I still make every one myself.
Good questions
New to tallow?
Does it smell like beef?
No. I render and strain the tallow until it smells clean. The scented balms smell of their essential oils, and the unscented ones have a soft, buttery smell that fades once it’s on.
Is it greasy?
No, not once it’s rubbed in. It feels rich for a minute, then sinks in and leaves skin soft. If it ever feels oily, you’ve used too much: a pea-sized amount is plenty.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes, lots of people do. Start with a tiny amount and patch test first. Oily or breakout-prone faces can find tallow too rich, so try it on your hands first if you’re unsure.
Whipped or solid: which should I get?
Whipped if you want it light and quick to sink in, for everyday face and body. Solid if you want it richer and firmer, great for hands, heels and your bag.
How long does a jar last?
A long time, because you only need a pea-sized amount. Use it within about 6 months of opening, and keep it somewhere cool.
Where does your tallow come from?
Grass-fed cattle, through our local Marlborough butcher. I render it by hand, in small batches, here in Renwick.
How fast will my order arrive?
Most orders leave within 1–3 working days. NZ shipping is free over $49, otherwise it’s a $9 flat rate.
