Energise is my bright, zesty whipped balm. Grass-fed NZ tallow is whipped light with sweet orange, blood orange, pink grapefruit and frankincense essential oils. It moisturises and softens dry skin on face, hands and body, and makes a cheerful start to the morning.

- Press it into clean skin; slightly damp skin helps it spread.

Store somewhere cool; it softens in heat and firms up again. Use within about 6 months of opening, patch test first, and note it contains beef tallow, so it isn't vegan.

Does it smell like beef?
Not really. I render the tallow several times to keep its natural smell mild, and the scent sits over the top. You might notice a faint buttery note underneath.
Is it greasy?
Not once it's rubbed in. Arrowroot takes the edge off the shine, though it can feel a little glossy for a few minutes. If it feels oily, use less: a pea-sized amount is plenty.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes. It's made for face and body. Tallow can be too rich for oily or breakout-prone faces, so patch test first and start with a tiny amount.
Is there an unscented version?
Yes. Our Whipped Tallow Balm – Unscented has no essential oils or fragrance. Our 100% Whipped Tallow Balm is tallow and nothing else.
How long will it keep?
About 6 months once opened. Tallow is a natural fat and slowly loses its freshness, so keep it somewhere cool and dark and use clean, dry fingers.
