Does it smell like beef fat?
No. I render the tallow several times over until it's as clean and mild as I can get it. You may notice a faint, buttery note under the scent.
Is the balm greasy?
No, not once it's rubbed in. It feels rich for a minute, then sinks in and leaves skin soft. If it ever feels oily, you've used too much: a pea-sized amount is plenty.
Can I use the balm on my face?
Yes, plenty of people do. Tallow can be too rich for oily or breakout-prone faces, so patch test first on a small area.
Which scent should I start with?
It depends what you like. Fresh and light: Lemongrass or Energise. Soft and floral: Rose or Lavender. That's the point of the set: try them all and see.
Is it vegan?
No. Every jar is made with beef tallow, so the set isn't vegan.
