My kids' skin was dry and nothing from the pharmacy suited them, so I started making my own. This bundle has two 120ml jars of unscented whipped tallow balm, two unscented tallow soaps and a soap saver bag. No essential oils, no added fragrance. It's the set that works for any sensitive skin in the family!
How to use

- Wash: lather the soap in the saver bag or your hands.
- Moisturise: press a pea-sized amount of balm into damp skin.
- Start small. Tallow is rich and a little goes far.

- Calendula-infused olive oil – Adds softness to the whipped balm
- Vitamin E oil – Helps keep the oils fresh
- Tallow, water, sodium hydroxide – All that goes into the soap, nothing for scent

Patch test on each person first. Keep the balm somewhere cool, use it within about 6 months of opening, and let the soap dry between uses.

Is it completely unscented?
Yes, nothing is added for scent. There are no essential oils or fragrance in the balm or the soap. Tallow is a natural fat, so it may have a faint, buttery smell of its own.
Can the kids use it too?
Yes, it's the set I use for my whole family. Everyone's skin is different, so patch test on each person first and stop if their skin reacts.
Is the balm greasy?
No, not once it's rubbed in. It feels rich for a minute, then sinks in and leaves skin soft. If it ever feels oily, you've used too much: a pea-sized amount is plenty.
Can I use the balm on my face?
Yes, plenty of people do. Tallow can be too rich for oily or breakout-prone faces, so patch test first on a small area.
What's the saver bag for?
It helps your soap go further. Pop the bar inside and lather up: it builds a lather, gives a gentle scrub and stops the bar going soft and wasting away.
