A rich, lightly tinted tallow lotion for summer skin. Grass-fed Marlborough tallow, shea butter and raspberry seed oil make it creamy, and a little cocoa powder gives it a soft tint so it blends in rather than looking chalky. It moisturises and softens, with a warm herbal-rose scent.

- Shake well first. The zinc oxide settles naturally.
- Firm in cool weather? Warm the bottle in your hands.
- Massage into arms, legs and shoulders until it blends in.

Why is it sometimes hard to squeeze out?
It's the tallow. It firms up in the cold, so roll the bottle between your hands or run it under warm water for a minute to get it flowing.
Why is it tinted?
The zinc oxide is white, so on its own the lotion would look chalky. A little cocoa powder gives it a soft, natural tint that blends in more easily.
Does it smell like beef?
Not really. I render the tallow several times to keep its smell mild, and the lavender, geranium and patchouli sit over the top. You may notice a faint buttery note underneath.
Is it greasy?
It feels rich and a little sticky at first. It's much thicker than our whipped balms, so use a small amount and massage it in until it blends.
How is it different from your whipped balms?
It's much thicker and lightly tinted, with its own herbal-rose scent. Our whipped balms are light and fluffy.
